There is no place anywhere quite like the David Brower Center. Since 2009, we have served as a permanent, healthy home for environmental and social action, facilitating the face-to-face interactions that power real change. Thousands of people have connected with progressive ideas through free, thought-provoking exhibitions, lectures, and tours; dozens of nonprofits and businesses have settled into a stable, collaborative work environment; and hundreds of organizations have held over 1,000 green events in our LEED Platinum facilities.
Now we are ready to build on this foundation.
In our 5th anniversary year, the Brower Center is opening a new chapter. We have grown from an emerging organization to an established one, and hope you will join us as we turn to the future with excitement and anticipation.
We have big plans: in the coming years, we will be adding more educational workshops for youth, starting a special fund to help nonprofits use our space for free, and looking at ways to make our work spaces even more dynamic. At the same time, we won’t be changing what makes us great—our commitment to long-term, holistic support for the activists and organizations making a difference.
The Brower Center can’t make any of this happen without your help. Donate to help us realize a future that respects both people and the planet.
Support is currently being sought at multiple levels. Sign up for a $10 or higher monthly gift by December 31, 2013 to receive a free copy of Richard Misrach and Kate Orff's beautiful hardcover art book, Petrochemical America. The first 25 donors will receive an edition signed by Richard Misrach!
Checks may be mailed to the David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Suite 100, Berkeley CA 94704.
The Brower Center accepts stock donations, multi-year pledges, legacy gifts, and corporate sponsorships. Please contact Development Manager Jackie Hasa at jackie[at]browercenter.org or 510-809-0900 x156 for details.
